The Palos Verdes Amateur Radio Club's first-ever online monthly meeting is this Thursday at 7:30 pm.
I am giving a 20-minute talk on "What's Happening in Amateur Radio with COVID-19?" based on my knowledge of happenings in the ARRL Los Angeles Section, other ARRL Sections, and at ARRL headquarters. It will also test our capability for next month's online meeting when we have a longer presentation covering "GPS for Amateur Radio."
Our Cisco Webex video conference platform allows up to 100 simultaneous participants. Recent PVARC Hesse Park meetings have ranged between 40 to 55 attendees from our nearly 165 members. There are opportunities for you to ask questions either through audio (if your device microphone is enabled) or via a "chat" box.
To join our online meeting click the link below starting 15 minutes before start time. You can either load the Webex app for your particular device (which gives better performance) or simply use your existing web browser. Enter the meeting ID and password info if asked and your name/callsign.
