Dear fellow PVARC members,

Our March 2019 QRO newsletter is attached as a downloadable PDF file for your reading.  As noted in the QRO this Thursday's 7:30 pm PVARC monthly meeting at Hesse Park has ARRL Southwestern Division Director Dick Norton, N6AA, as our guest speaker.  He'll be discussing various amateur radio developments and what the ARRL is doing.  You will come away with a much better understanding of the ARRL and its efforts to enhance amateur radio in the United States....so do plan to attend.  Division Directors comprise the ARRL's Board of Directors and focus on the League's directions, policies, and administration.  ARRL Section Managers (who report to the League's Supervisor of Field Services) are responsible for managing League programs and services in their respective Sections.

Just a reminder...the PVARC's weekly net is tonight at 7:30 pm on the K6PV repeater (447.120 MHz, - , PL 100.0) with the usual west-side cross-band on 144.910 MHz, Tone Squelch, PL 156.7.  Please check in and say hello.

The graveside service at Riverside National Cemetery for our member Hal Croyts, KO6M (SK), is at 1:30 pm this afternoon.  Please note:  Anyone attending this service must be at the Cemetery front gate (22495 Van Buren Blvd.) no later than 1:00 pm.

Lastly, our monthly HF Enthusiasts Group meeting is this Saturday from 10:00 am to Noon at the Palos Verdes Library's Peninsula Center branch.  The HF Enthusiasts Group meets in the Purcell Room located on the corridor behind the Reference Desk.  All are welcome to attend, even if just to observe.  There's no cost to attend the meeting or to park.

73 to all,
Diana, AI6DF
