Dear fellow PVARC members,

We had a great Field Day this past weekend at Soleado School...and should have an excellent score in the 2A category considering the HF band conditions.  Thank you to everyone in our club who operated the radios or logged, helped with setup or take-down, supplied equipment/furniture/tents, or just came by to observe.  And a special thanks to Rocco, N6KN, for serving as this year's Field Day Chair.  We'll have a complete Field Day report in our July QRO newsletter.

Soleado School appears to be a great site for Field Day.  Although it doesn't have quite the "public" visibility like some other FD sites it's sure a great place to transmit from.  We are very hopeful for using Soleado next year after leaving the campus in excellent condition.

During a final clean-up sweep of Soleado's field on Sunday we found this pair of brown tortoise-shell prescription eyeglasses (or reading glasses) with the word "INTEGRATED" on the right eye side temple.  It was laying in the grass where our VHF/UHF station operated on Saturday adjacent to the playground asphalt.  If these glasses are yours let me know and we'll find a way to get them to you.

Tonight at 7:30 pm it's time again for weekly K6PV repeater nets, with our analog FM net from 7:30-7:55 pm (including the 2-meter crossband link on 144.910 MHz, Tone Squelch, PL 156.7) and a DMR digital net from 8:00-8:40 pm.  Please check in on either or both nets and say hello.

Lastly, this Saturday from 7:00-11:30 am is the monthly W6TRW Swap Meet at Northrop Grumman in north Redondo Beach.  I will be at the ARRL booth and perhaps see you there.

Have a great week ahead and 73,

Diana, AI6DF
