Dear fellow PVARC members,

Last Saturday marked our PVARC EmComm Interest Group's initial meeting...and afterward many attendees felt we should continue these one-hour online video conferences.  We thank everyone who participated and already have a number of suggested topics to explore at future online meetings for making ham operators better emergency communicators.

Our HF Enthusiast Group meetings continue online via Cisco Webex from 10:00 am-Noon every 2nd Saturday until the Palos Verdes Library main branch reopens for public meetings--possibly not until mid-Summer.  The EmComm Interest Group will always meet online every 3rd Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am.   No problem if you wish to connect only using audio (i.e., via your cellphone or turning off your device's camera.)

The PVARC's May 7th monthly meeting will also be an online video conference when I am presenting "GPS for Amateur Radio:  location reporting for emergencies and public service events using devices you already own."

In the meantime our weekly K6PV repeater nets are tonight at 7:00-7:25 pm for the DMR net and 7:30-7:55 pm for the analog FM net.  Hope to hear you then.

73,

Diana, AI6DF
