On the heels of last Saturday's lively PVARC HF Enthusiasts Group virtual meeting discussing operating Field Day from home...this Saturday during 10:00-11:00 am via Webex it's our monthly EmComm Interest Group online meeting. Any club member interested in emergency communication using ham radio is welcome to attend on a PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, or Android device. Click on the link shown below and use your web browser or for best results have the appropriate Webex app installed on your device. A reminder email with the link will be sent Friday.
We now have Webex working well for us. Last Thursday evening during our online monthly meeting my GPS for amateur radio presentation had a glitch with the Webex iOS app that delayed getting the PowerPoint slides on the shared screen. My apologies for that but the slides will be posted on our website by tomorrow...and if there's sufficient interest the GPS presentation can be repeated on another date.
Our club's weekly analog K6PV repeater net is tonight during 7:30-7:55 pm...please check in and say hello (447.120 MHz, - , Tone Squelch, PL 100.0; the westside 2-meter crosslink on 144.910 MHz, Tone Squelch, PL 156.7, will likely be operating this evening). As reported, our weekly DMR club net is now on Wednesdays during 7:30-7:55 pm to provide more flexibility for members. Same frequency and DMR parameters as before, please check in there tomorrow if you can.
