Dear fellow PVARC members,

Our June QRO newsletter will come your way next Tuesday with information about our June 4 online meeting (Webex meeting link to be sent next week with the QRO issue).

Just in time for this year's Field Day from our homes the June meeting features a presentation on the propagation characteristics of each ham band from 160-meters to microwave.  Our Ray Day, N6HE, will present the 160-10 meter bands updated from an excellent presentation developed by PVARC member Bill Harper, WA6ESC, in 2008.  Gary Lopes, WA6MEM, will present propagation features of each VHF and UHF band.  I learned much when I first heard this presentation in 2008 and you will too in 2020.

The PVARC's weekly K6PV repeater analog FM net is tonight at 7:30 pm, so please check in and say hello.  The 2-meter westside cross-band link is temporarily down but in the process of being repaired thanks to Gary, WA6MEM.  The K6PV DMR net meets on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm--feel free to check in there too if you have DMR capability.

We still do not know when in-person club meetings will resume at Hesse Park and the Palos Verdes Library.  It's expected that any in-person meetings initially allowed will have significant attendance limits (such as the current health order limiting meeting rooms to 10 people with social distancing.)  Nevertheless, we'll continue with online meetings via Webex to be safe.

73,

Diana, AI6DF
