Dear fellow PVARC members,
Our December QRO newsletter is now available for downloading from our website at http://www.n6rpv.net/n6rpvpage/pvarc/2019QRO/QRO_Dec_2019.pdf . This issue also has directions for our December 12th Holiday Dinner at Los Verdes Country Club if you are unfamiliar with that area.
Want to attend the Holiday Dinner but haven't yet made a reservation? We have six seats open due to RSVP'd members now with unforeseen out-of-area travel on December 12. If interested in one or more of these six seats please contact me as soon as possible. After receiving confirmation of your seat availability you may pay at the door on December 12...the price is still $45 per person. Hope you can attend.
Tonight's K6PV repeater nets are the next-to-last for 2019: as usual, tonight's analog net is at 7:30 pm with its 2-meter cross-link and our DMR digital net starts at 8:00 pm. We will have nets next week but not on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, or New Year's Eve, Dec. 31--we hope you spend those evenings with your family and friends.
Lastly, this Saturday from 10:00 am to Noon is our monthly HF Enthusiasts Group meeting at the Palos Verdes Library's Peninsula Center branch. We are in the Purcell Room behind the Reference Desk...all are welcome even if just to observe. As noted in the QRO newsletter there's also a special event Saturday for hams to board the Queen Mary in Long Beach for free but you must show an FCC copy of your ham license. Non-ham family members or friends with you will need to pay regular admission and usual parking charges apply.
Have a great week and I look forward to seeing you at our Holiday Dinner this Thursday.
73,
Diana, AI6DF
